The ninth edition of the CurveNV show was very conveniently launched on Valentine’s day this year! Organized by CurveExpo, a Connecticut-based company, and held for two days, this glamorous lingerie event took place in the European ambience of The Venetian Resort. Attendance held steady this year with 1,917 registered buyers and 220 vendors.
The exposition at The Venetian had by far the largest presentation of lingerie of the many Las Vegas trade shows and has become the destination for buyers to scour lingerie brands outside New York and Europe.
Our licence DPH was present – and welcomed by the professionals – with its new collection to support the world-famous French glamorous touch. Keep it up DPH!
GDS – the International Event for Shoes & Accessories and a leading trade show for sourcing – was held at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre on the 16th, 17th and 18th of March. A total of 1,220 exhibitors from 40 different countries presented their 2011-2012 autumn & winter trends to approximately 24,500 trade visitors eager to gather information and place orders for the latest shoes and bag collections.
With its wide range of brands, trends and fashion expertise, GDS has established itself as an indispensable impulse generator for the international shoe sector.
Rhode, one of our licenses, presented its views on the new season with many different kinds of shoe designs and materials. We hope to see many of you wearing those trendy shoes on the street next winter!
This week-end Daniel Hechter shot its 2011/2012 Fall and Winter campaign in Montmartre, a very typical Parisian neighbourhood that also became very famous when the international blockbuster movie Amelie was filmed there! This area was chosen for its accurate representation of the brand’s style and values. Commuters at the Lamarck tube station were able to enjoy our fresh-looking shooting stage that had been covered in snow for the occasion on that bright and sunny week-end.

In March two of our licenses took part in international home fairs. Global Labels participated in the annual German Heimtextil fair and presented the new brown and plum collection. The 41st Heimtextil presented the latest products and trends of about 2,500 exhibitors from 60 countries in Frankfurt from the 12th to the 15th of January. About 73,000 trade visitors from more than 120 countries took advantage of the leading international trade fair for home and contract textiles to replenish their stocks and to gain fresh inspiration for the new season.
In the meantime, Toulemonde Brochart exhibited in France the new Daniel Hechter carpet design, which turns out to be a best seller amongst the brand they presented at the semi-annual Maison & Objet fair. Congratulations!
This will kick-off on the 31st of March with our first guest: Christophe Michalak, the pastry chief of the Plaza Athéné, on the theme “Le bon et beau” (good & beautiful). For this occasion we will welcome fifty of our privileged customers for an interview followed by a cocktail.
We hope to turn “38 rue Marbeuf” into the new place to be in Paris!

Daniel Hechter is advertising in BIG in Paris with its 600m² of tarpaulins covering a whole building on the avenue Charles de Gaulle in Neuilly-sur-Seine. Everyday more than 200,000 cars drive along this road and will have the pleasure to contemplate the visual. This advertising will stay during the whole month of March creating 9 millions viewers.
This spectacular advertising will refresh Daniel Hechter image amongst the Parisian. We hope that our visual will entertain drivers stuck in traffic jam!
Daniel Hechter’s advertising is 600m² of tarpaulins and weighting more than 400kg. The couple in the centre of the visual is 20 meters high!
The 48th edition of the International Lingerie Salon took place from the 22nd to the 24th of January, 2011. The Salon welcomed more than 19,000 professionals from 108 different countries.
Lingerie has become a fashion accessory for women. Haute couture is entering the nightwear world to give to women the possibility of being glamorous and sophisticated at the same time.
Daniel Hechter’s Autumn & Winter 2011-2012 collections were presented by our two licences: DPH for women lingerie and RÖSCH for nightwear and men underwear. We are pleased to say that both booths were a success and were largely visited by professionals of the industry.
